Gaza peace protests in Kendal reach six month milestone

Weekly protests in Kendal calling for peace in Gaza have recently reached the six month milestone.
Just over half a year ago, Maria Gardner began driving her mobility scooter into Kendal town centre to take a seat outside the town hall and display the message: ‘Free the Palestinian Nation’.
She has been there from 11:00am to 12 noon every Saturday since then, joined by an growing number of fellow campaigners calling for a ceasefire in Gaza and an end to the supply of arms and arms components to Israel.
