James Cropper plc continue to make
materials for Israel's warplanes

25th June, 2026: Information released this week by the Department for Business and Trade shows that James Cropper plc, based in Burneside, continues to produce and export material for the F-35 warplane. Israel's F-35 warplanes have been used against civilians in Gaza, as well as in attacks on Lebanon, Syria and Iran. During 2025, the company used an Open General Export Licence 13 times to export material for this most controversial part of the arms trade.
Activists blockade James Cropper plc factory to halt production of materials for Israel's warplanes

29th April, 2026: Palestine solidarity activists today blocked the entrance to the James Cropper plc factory in Burneside, near Kendal, to highlight the company’s role in supplying materials for Israel’s warplanes used in the war on Gaza. Activists successfully prevented the morning shift change - stopping workers from driving into the factory site. They held banners which read “Make Paper Not Planes”, “ and “James Cropper: We want to be proud of our local industry“.
